AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Richard Haass, an American theorist, wrote in a message referring to the recent negotiations between Iran and Washington, "America's attempt to impose its conditions on Iran was doomed to fail from the start."
The former president of the Council on Foreign Relations added, “Negotiations always reflect the realities on the ground; therefore, America's efforts to impose peace terms on Iran were doomed to fail from the outset. However, the first round of talks always has a 'clearing the throat' quality to it, so the chances of achieving a major breakthrough were slim. The diplomatic dance has only just begun.”
